New direction

Well, my precious husband did not get the job.  I am so proud of him and the diligent work he did to prepare for this audition.  I am thankful that he can know the answer right away and we can move on with our lives from here.  It looks like we need a new direction.  I wonder what the adventure God has in mind for us will be.  We trust in Him completely and know that He will provide all we need.

  1. Well, I'm sorry you didn't get the answer you wanted, but you are right, God will be your provider. That's a bummer, though. :(

  4. I was reading a book this afternoon, and it made me think of this song, which made me think of you. I'd thought I'd share:

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    What have I to ask beside?
    Can I doubt His tender mercy,
    Who through life has been my Guide?
    Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
    Here by faith in Him to dwell!
    For I know, whate’er befall me,
    Jesus doeth all things well;
    For I know, whate’er befall me,
    Jesus doeth all things well.

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    Cheers each winding path I tread,
    Gives me grace for every trial,
    Feeds me with the living Bread.
    Though my weary steps may falter
    And my soul athirst may be,
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A spring of joy I see;
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A spring of joy I see.

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    Oh, the fullness of His love!
    Perfect rest to me is promised
    In my Father’s house above.
    When my spirit, clothed immortal,
    Wings its flight to realms of day
    This my song through endless ages:
    Jesus led me all the way;
    This my song through endless ages:
    Jesus led me all the way.

  5. Hugs and more empathy than you can even imagine. . .

    Love you bunches.

    Though the fig tree should not blossom,
    nor fruit be on the vines,
    the produce of the olive fail
    and the fields yield no food,
    the flock be cut off from the fold
    and there be no herd in the stalls,
    yet I will rejoice in the LORD;
    I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

    Habakkuk 3:17-18

  6. I am so sorry. Remember that God is working in this, and take things one day at a time. Feel what you feel - He can handle it. I am always here to talk! We'll all do our best to provide you with good cheer and laughter this weekend.

  7. Oh no! I'm so sorry to read this. I do hope that someday you can look back on it all and see the purpose and His plan... but in the moment it's just HARD. Hang in there.
