It's time!!

Well, my friends, it's finally, finally, finally time for one of the big things we've been waiting for.  Yesterday after church (and a little prayer session with our pastor and elders) we sent Daniel to DC for his officer audition.  Today he'll be doing his instrumental audition along with theory and arranging tasks.  Tonight he'll study a sight reading piece to conduct (and watch the UConn Men play in the Championship game!!  GO HUSKIES!).  Tomorrow he'll conduct the band, the men's chorus, and have his panel interview.  About mid afternoon tomorrow it will be over and we'll know one way or the other.  If you think of it, pray for him as he is away from us and trying to do his best.  And pray for Lucas and me that we'll be content to do our thing at home today and tomorrow without too much worry or anxiety, simply trusting the Lord with all of it.  Here we go!

(P.S.  Renee and Susan...thanks for your questions.  I do promise to answer them.  I'm working on a post right now, but without the laptop which also went to DC, I'm stuck doing everything on the PC...and in one location, which isn't always conducive to monitoring a two and a half year old who moves around the house like a tornado.  *grin*)
