We had a lovely day yesterday for Levi's birthday. It was very low-key, but very nice. We had a playdate with my friend Ellen and her daughter, Emily, while Lucas was at school. Emily is just a few weeks younger than Levi, and when we met them, Levi and Emily were Caroline's age! Now they're both exploring the world in a much more...active way. *
grin* Anyway, they shared a birthday donut and had some good play time. In the evening, we had homemade lasagna and birthday cake and opened presents. Daniel and I were commenting that it was very different than Lucas' first birthday - we had most of both sides of our family there - but it was perfect for this year. As with Christmas, we've waited so long to be "just us" that being "just us" still feels like a celebration. Anyway, this was supposed to be mostly pictures and less words, so I'll just be quiet now and let the pictures do the talking!
